World Tourism Day was celebrated today at DPMI. Students of Hotel Management & Catering Technology observed the day with great zeal and enthusiasm.On this occasion MD DPMI, Ms. Poonam Bachheti shared her views on tourism.

On this occasion MD DPMI, Ms. Poonam Bachheti shared her views on tourism and how it can be one of the biggest revenue earning industry for the country.
The commemorative events started with a Nukkad Natak, showcasing the importance of tourism. The street play created awareness regarding safety and security of patrons from foreign countries.

Another entertaining skit was staged by the students showcasing the impact of tourism on the economy of a country. The highlight of the event was a presentation on sustainable tourism by the students of Hotel Management department, based on this year’s theme of ‘Sustainable Tourism’. Some second-year students also gave
speeches on this occasion.
