Diet plays a significant role in jaundice recovery and prevention.The liver produces bile that helps the intestine to break down fats during digestion. The liver is also responsible for metabolizing most digested nutrients, toxins, and medications. People with jaundice are usually advised to follow a liquid diet for the first four to five days of treatment to increases the liquid level.

Water-Consuming a lot of water is one of the best ways to help the liver recover from jaundice. Drink at least eight glasses of water a day which will help the liver to flush out the toxins.
